Client: Paradox AS / Qvisten Animation AS

“Knerten”, the story about a boy and his imaginary friend is a Norwegian classic and much-loved book series.
For the eagerly anticipated film adaptation, Peter Spence was hired as Visual Effects Supervisor, working on-set with Paradox during filming and with Qvisten Animation during the animation production phase.

The film blended live-action, animatronics, and computer-generated imagery to create the year’s top family film!
Putty Studios additionally provided digital ants (a key element in the story) and went on to win the Amanda (Norway’s Oscar) for Best Visual Effects.
