Norwegian artist Gabrielle Leithaug is the queen of pop music in Norway and she’s responsible for some of the most memorable hit songs in Norwegian music history. When it came to creating the music video for her latest single release, Universal Music Group did not hesitate in contacting Drøbak-based Peter Spence at Putty Studios.
Her single “Fem Fine Frøkner” was last year’s summer hit and was for several weeks the most played song on Norwegian radio. In December 2014 she performed in front of 1 billion TV viewers at the Nobel Peace Prize concert.
Spence and Leithaug worked closely together on the look and feel of the film, creating a hybrid motion graphics, animated lyric video.
“Gabrielle is very professional and had a clear vision of what she wanted. When I sent her the first full preview of the video, she said it was ‘dope’. I had to look up the meaning of that to see if it was a compliment or not! Fortunately it was.”
